Tell us a little about yourself:

I grew up in the suburbs around Boston and Chicago. I went to college in Illinois where I met my wife. We moved here to be nearer her family (none of us grew up in Nebraska), but we love it here. I have a fantastic 3-year-old daughter who has started to play some games with us.
I currently work in IT for Nelnet and have been there for 5 years. My non-gaming free time is primarily spent with family, following the professional sports, and wasting time with technology.
How did you get into tabletop gaming?
I started gaming in 2009 with Bang! The first game I bought that I discovered on my own was Dominion. I loved it! Even after water was spilled on it. Dominion cards are the superior alternative to paper towels, in a pinch. Since that one purchase, my collection and passion for board gaming has exploded.
I have a great regular game group where the struggle between the latest hotness and old favorites is very real. My long-standing #1 game is Innovation by Carl Chudyk. It's not for everyone, but it always blows my mind how clever it is. Other favorites include Keyflower, Medici/Ra/Modern Art, Metropolys, Roll for the Galaxy, and The Castles of Burgundy. In the last year, I've participated in my first D&D (5e) campaign with a great group. I particularly enjoy teaching games and getting people engaged with the hobby.
